PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cokes having a suitable quality for blast furnace operation, wherein the method can improve the estimated accuracy in a cokes-grain diameter than the former method. SOLUTION: The method for producing cokes by carbonizing a compounded coal comprised of plural sorts of a brand coal by charging a coke oven with the compounded coal comprises adjusting a compounding ratio of the each brand coal based on an estimated contraction coefficient B of each coal so that an estimated contraction coefficient of the compounded coal becomes A, the coefficient A is obtained so that the produced cokes has a previously fixed target grain diameter, wherein the estimated contraction coefficient A is a value corresponding to a previously fixed standard temperature and also the estimated contraction coefficient B is a value corresponding to a temperature of the oven at the time of carbonizing the compounded coal.
