The method for manufacturing the hand-held hair trimmer including forming a metal tubular intermediate member. First and second mirror image hollow semi-cylindrical grip parts are formed of non-slip material. The handle assembly is formed by placing the intermediate member between the grip parts and fixing the grip parts to the member and to each there by adhesive.
