Disclosed is a traction mechanism drive for a combustion engine, comprising a belt drive which wraps around the crankshaft, a starter generator (5) that is preferably used as a tensioning device, an air conditioning compressor (6), and a deflection roller (7). The deflection roller (7) is disposed in the empty half (1a) located between the crankshaft (2) and the starter generator (5).
