MOTORISED SCOOTER

A motorised scooter comprises a frame (10) and first and second ground-engaging wheels (16) and (18) mounted on the frame (10) with no springing, the first (rear) wheel (10) being driven by a petrol engine (22) and the second (front) wheel being steerable. The frame (10) carries a platform (12) whereon a rider may stand, and a detachable seat for the rider. Each of the wheels (16, 18) is fitted with a balloon lyre (20) providing an elastic support for the scooter in lieu of springing between the wheels (16, 18) and the frame (10). The tyres (20) are also wide enough to support the scooter on soft ground. Thus the scooter may be used on rough terrain and otherwise off road. The wheels (16, 18) are mounted cantilever-style so that they may be removed sideways without interfering with brakes or drive chain.
