PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing of a center device when delivering information, and to shorten a time required for downloading the information, even when many terminal devices access the center device. SOLUTION: This navigation system comprises an on-vehicle terminal device 200; the center device 100; and a home server 300 communicable with the on-vehicle terminal device 200 and the center device 100. The home server 300 includes a communication means 301 for transmitting/receiving data to/from the on-vehicle terminal device 200; a communication means 302 for transmitting/receiving data to/from the center device 100; a map retrieval means 310 for retrieving a map required by the on-vehicle terminal device 200; and a storage means 320 for storing position information of the on-vehicle terminal device 200 and map information by which the on-vehicle terminal device 200 is moved. Hereby, communication between the on-vehicle terminal device 200 and the home server 300 is limited to the minimum transmission of the position information or the like, to thereby realize load dispersion of server processing.
