PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system, a data processor, and an image forming apparatus that prevent a encryption key from illegally being taken out. SOLUTION: A printer device 200, when receiving a request to make the encryption key open to the public which is sent from an information processor 100 (S13), generates the encryption key (S14) and sets a timer to clock a lapse of time after the encryption key is generated (S15). When a request to transmit the encryption key is received before a designated time passes after the start of the clocking (S17: YES), the encryption key is transmitted to the information processor 100 (S18) and then erased (S19). Further, when the designated time passes before the request to transmit the encryption key is received (S16: YES), the generated key is erased (S19) without being transmitted.
