PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion exhibiting good stability at 55°C after 8 days. SOLUTION: The composition is an emulsion of oil-in-water type and contains ascorbic acid or its derivative, at least one polysaccharide hydrophilic gelling agent, at least one kind of 16-22C sorbitan fatty acid ester, at least one ethoxylated fatty acid ester, and at least one polymer containing at least one sulfo-functional monomer.
