PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of printing a sharp arbitrary pattern or character good in water resistance on extremely thin sliced veneer comprising natural wood having a rich natural feeling by combining an OA device and an ink jet printer. SOLUTION: The surface of the extremely thin sliced veneer comprising natural wood is coated with a resin composition, which is prepared by compounding 35±5 pts.wt. of silica being an aqueous ink absorbability improving agent, 20±3 pts.wt. of an amine resin with a solid content of 50% and a viscosity of 400±200 mPa s (at 25°C) being a water resistance imparting agent of ink jet printing ink and 50+1 to -0 pts.wt. of polyamide-epichlorohydrin with a solid content of 25% and a viscosity of 50-250 mPa s (at 25°C) being a PVA water resistance imparting agent with 100 pts.wt. of PVA with a solid content of 20% and a viscosity of 4,500 mPa s (at 30°C) being a main agent in terms of resin solid content and kneading the obtained compound, in an amount of 8-15 g/m<SP>2</SP>(in terms of resin solid content) to constitute a veneer laminated sheet. If necessary, polyethyleneimine can be added as the PVA water resistance imparting agent and a styrenic resin can be added as a surface size agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
