PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise an analysis precision while complicated time and effort are saved when a mass spectrometry made into a target, such as a structural analysis, etc. of a component with a bit molecular weight is performed. SOLUTION: A sample plate 3 for an MALDI is installed by exposing in an ionization chamber 1 which atomizes a sample drop with an ionization probe 2 of an ESI, and a laser light source 5 and a mirror 6 are provided for irradiating a laser beam at a sample S2 on this sample plate 3. Ion formed by any of the ESI and the MALDI is also attracted by the differential pressure of the ionization chamber 1 and a first intermediate vacuum chamber 9 at a solvent removing tube 8, and sent to a poststage. A controller 20 performs alternately the operation of an ESI ion source and the MALDI ion source, for example, in short periods. Consequently, at the former, it is mainly polyvalent ion, and in latter, a univalent ion is mainly formed, and a mass spectrometry is performed from the sample liquid S1 originating in the identical test piece, and a sample S2.
