PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device which allows a head element to be prevented from colliding with minute projections on a surface of a magnetic disk, and damage of the head element and thermal asperity to be reduced, even when temperature is increased. SOLUTION: In this magnetic head slider, a magnetic head section 2 is provided with an electric conductive film 9 embedded in an insulating film and for heating a head element section 3. The electric conductive film 9 is formed so that a first film portion, and a second film portion formed on the plane where the first film portion is formed, folded back from the first film portion and adjoin the first film portion, become a pair.
