PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for attaching buttons easily removing and attaching ornamental buttons such as lacquered buttons specifically to clothing with hooks or with existing buttons remained. SOLUTION: The tool 52 for attaching buttons is used for attaching a button 50 to the clothing 57. A metal fitting engaging part is provided for engaging with a metal fitting fixed to a back side of the button. A hook is provided for engaging with a loop or a receiver provided on one half of the front of the clothing placed under the other. The metal fitting engaging part and the hook are formed integrally.
