1,134,638. Making Fe-Al alloys. INSTYTUT ODLEWNICTWA. Dec.3, 1965 [Dec.3, 1964], No.51364/65. Heading C7D. Fe-Al alloys containing 5-60% Al in which the content of each other alloying element is less than both the Fe and Al content, are made by mixing solid or partly solid Al with liquid Fe and optionally some of the other alloying elements and then adding the remainder of the alloying elements alone or with solid or liquid Al to produce the final alloy melt. The alloying elements are one or more of Sb, As, Bi, Be, Sn, B, graphite, Si, K, Mg, Se, Na, Ca, Ti, Cu, Fi, rare earth elements or mixtures or alloys of the above elements.
|
