COMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND COMMUNICATION METHOD

A communication terminal includes: a communication protocol control unit (312) for receiving a connection request added by application information on an application used for communication; a module request/analysis unit (308) for acquiring the application information from the connection request received by the communication protocol control unit (312); the module request/analysis unit (308) for comparing the application information acquired by the module request/analysis unit (308) to an application usable by the corresponding local terminal main body (210); and a module usable region unit (303) for requesting start of the application according to the comparison result obtained by the module request/analysis unit (308). By checking the mutual connection between acquired application information, exchanging them, and requesting for execution, it is possible to perform a multimedia communication using the application which a user desires to use.
