A lubricator comprises a vessel divided into parts 1a, 1b which contain the same or different oils and are connected to respective chambers 4a, 4b, a body 5 having fingers extending downwardly into chambers 4a, 4b, being periodically lifted and dropped in a given time interval to force oil from chambers 4a, 4b up vertical channels 6a, 6b to respective chambers 8, each of predetermined volume, which chambers have outlet ducts 30 to supply lubrication points. The body 5 has a pin 14 resting on a pin 13 which is secured across a bush 12 having ratchet-wheel 15. When the machine to be lubricated is running, ratchet wheel 15 is rotated, and rotation of pin 13 lifts and then suddenly drops the body 5. Channels 6a, 6b open into troughs 7 which are inclined so that excess oil drains via portions 10 back into parts 1a 1b Chambers 8 are formed by bores opening from troughs 7 and containing adjustable screws 9.</p> |
