Control method for a motor vehicle drive train

The method is for the control of a drive unit for a motor vehicle, whereby at least two actuators and/or sensors are connected via electric cables to an electronic control unit. Through a plausibility test of the electronic control unit by means of software integrated in the control unit it is identified which sensor or actuator is connected to which of the inputs or outputs of the control unit. This connecting arrangement in the control unit is taken into account and used for the operation of the drive unit.
