The top transport device has a presser bar which is fixed to a presser foot (13) at its lower end. A top transport foot (15) is fitted within recess (18) in the presser foot. A main arm (17) comprises two auxiliary arms (17a,17b) which define longitudinal guiding slot in which shank of the transport foot is movably attached.
