<p>The high side (10) of the platform (1) is provided with a multi-part support (11) so that the height of this side can be reduced when the platform is in use. The support comprises two parallel plates containing a first set of openings for a first shaft connected to a lifting cylinder (5) to pass through and containing a second set of openings for a second shaft connected to a support cylinder (7) to pass through. The plates have a multi-part construction so that the second axle and the parts of the plates extending around the second openings can be removed. The assembly comprises an actuator (6), a frame (3) secured to the vehicle (4) and a platform with a low side (8) and an opposing high side provided with at least one support. A lifting arm, lifting cylinder and support cylinder are connected to the support. Independent claims are also included for the following:Vehicle with this loading platform assembly; #Method for modifying a loading platform with a low side and an opposing high side provided with at least one support connected to a lifting arm, lifting cylinder and support cylinder, so that the support cylinder and part of the support can be removed from the high side; and #Method for positioning a loading platform with a low side and a high side on the ground (9) by operating a lifting cylinder so that the platform is moved downwards whilst operating a support cylinder so that the top side of the platform remains horizontal, then keeping the bottom side of the platform in flat contact with the ground when the platform is fully lowered and then operating the support cylinder so that parts of the high side of the platform are removed and subsequently operating the lifting cylinder so that the bottom side of the platform remains in flat contact with the ground.</p> |
