The proposed device for measuring surface profile contains a former for generating a planar light flux and a light radiation receiver. The light flux former contains a laser diode, a cylindrical lens, and a slit diaphragm, which are arranged along the same optical axis and provide the generation of a planar light flux that is directed at an angle of 45 degrees to the horizontal plane. The light radiation receiver contains a lens and a photodetector, which are arranged along the same optical axis that is directed at an angle 45 degrees to the horizontal plane and 45 degrees to the plane of the light flux.
