METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF ZIRCONIUM PIPES

The method for manufacture of zirconium pipes includes the extrusion of the pipe billet heated to the temperature corresponding to ?-field, with previously applied on it of protective coating and further water quenching, and multipass cold rolling of the pipes to the finished size with performance of its heat treatment after each pass. The zirconium alloy of the pressed billets is selected, on the basis of value of initial ?-grain and oxygen contained in it. Multipass cold deformation is conducted with the use of mounts with reverse conicity.
