A method for the replacement of blast furnace casing provides for mounting the supporting belt around the furnace deck ring, i.e. initially on upper heads of columns of furnace crucible extensions in the form of posts are placed on which between mine columns of furnace along the radius beams are set fixing them by means of extensions to columns of mine; thereafter between posts vertical couplants are arranged, whereupon the existing furnace casing is completely dismantled of the cone of furnace to the bottom of hearth, and then a new furnace casing is assembled from bottom to top.
