A method for obtaining luminophor based on salts of polyvalent metals with activating additive involves preparation of charge from polyvalent metals oxides and alkaline metal salts with subsequent heating and cooling product of interaction and washing thereof. As activating additive luminescent active ions of titan (III) are used, and the content thereof is regulated by introduction of aluminium oxide into the charge, and charge composition contains sodium or potassium methaphosphates at an excess being by 1.8-2.5 times more than stoichiometry, at that heating is carried out at a rate of 150-300 degrees/hour to the temperature of charge homogenization of 1050-1100 DEGREE C, the melt is maintained for 2-4 hours for an interaction and cooled at a rate of 2-15 degrees/hour to the temperature of crystallization.
