PROCESS FOR PREDICTING MALIGNIZATION OF GASTRIC ULCERS

The process for predicting the malignization of the gastric ulcers provides for the targeted biopsy from periulcerous areas of each ulcer with the microscopic analysis of the atrophy areas and the areas of the dysplasia of the mucosa. For stereometrical analysis, the ratio between the total number of atrophy areas in the mucosa of the periulcerous areas and the total number of the areas of the dysplasia is assessed. The ratio of 1:2 suggests the high probability of the malignization.
