The invention relates to the separation and regeneration of solid abrasives. Method of regeneration of abrasive from the waste, which contain organic bond, includes crushing of waste, removal of organic bond, magnetic separation and dispersion. As waste spent abrasive articles on the bakelite binder are used, removal of the binder is accomplished by two-stage leaching by 5-20% solution of monoacidbasis, first stage of which is carried out at mixing during 6-8 hours, followed by washing with water and drying. Technical result consists in the increase of efficiency of the purification of abrasive from the organic bond at simultaneous exclusion of the pollution of ambient atmosphere.
