A process is disclosed for safely logging on in a technical system by means of a user code (11) stored in the system, the process having the following steps: (a) a selection code (3) comprising a plurality of graphic symbols (2) is displayed; (b) a reply code (5) comprising a plurality of symbols (4) is displayed; (c) the symbol (4) of the reply code (5) which, according to the stored user code (11), is clearly associated with a property of at least one graphic symbol (2) of the selection code (3), is selected; (d) the selected symbol (4) of the reply code (5) is checked against the stored user code (11); and (e) when the selected symbol (4) of the reply code (5) matches the stored user code (11), log-on in the technical system takes place. |
