摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium having excellent many-time rewritable capability and storage life and also capability for recording at a constant angular velocity (CAV) from low-speed recording to high-speed recording. <P>SOLUTION: In order to constitute the information recording medium, on a substrate 1, a first dielectric layer 2, a first interfacial layer 3, a recording layer 4, a second interfacial layer 5, a second dielectric layer 6, an optical absorbing layer 7, a reflective layer 8, a protective layer 9 and a dummy substrate 10 are laminated in this order. The recording layer 4 comprises a phase-change material having a composition ratio within a range enclosed by the following four points [A1(Bi<SB>3</SB>, Ge<SB>46.2</SB>, Te<SB>50.8</SB>), A2(Bi<SB>5</SB>, Ge<SB>46</SB>, Te<SB>49)</SB>, B1(Bi<SB>13</SB>, Ge<SB>38</SB>, Te<SB>49</SB>), and B2(Bi<SB>10</SB>, Ge<SB>38</SB>, Te<SB>52</SB>) as shown on the coordinates on a triangle composition having vertexes of Bi, Ge and Te(however, the coordinates on the triangle composition represent atom%)].
