摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas agitating device of an internal combustion engine which suppresses the increase in pressure loss when generating spirally rotating flow and achieves effective agitation of exhaust gas by increasing rotating speed. <P>SOLUTION: A large diameter part 20 is formed in an exhaust passage 11 of an internal combustion engine 1 to be connected with a small diameter part 21 on the downstream side through the medium of a diameter-contraction part 22. A vane plate 13 for generating spirally rotating flow of exhaust gas is arranged in the large diameter part 20. A fuel injection nozzle 14 for injecting fuel is arranged in the small diameter part 21. While reducing pressure loss by generating the spirally rotating flow in the large diameter part 20 in which the exhaust gas flow velocity is low, the rotating speed is increased in a process in which the spirally rotating flow moves to the small diameter part 21 through the diameter contraction part 22, thereby accelerating the agitation of the exhaust gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
