PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of maintaining mutual data storage arrangement of data recorded on a data recording medium, without demanding troublesome operations on the part of a user. SOLUTION: A reproduction control section 82 controls reading of an ARI_DATA, denoting the attribute of data recorded on an optical disk from the optical disk. A data system discrimination section 86 discriminates whether the data recorded on the optical disk are photo-movie data, on the basis of the read ARI_DATA. When the data system discrimination section 86 discriminates that the data recorded on the optical disk are photo-movie data, a deletion control section 83 controls deletion of the data from the optical disk so as to delete the photo-movie data from the optical disk.
