PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents management apparatus which has simple site constitution and yet attains flexible access to a snapshot by storing a difference updated when contents are updated as history information. SOLUTION: In updating contents stored in a storage part to new contents, the new contents are compared with the contents before updating to prepare history information, request information of the contents is received, history information corresponding to the request information is retrieved from the storage part, the contents are reproduced based on the history information being the above retrieval result, and then the reproduced contents are provided to a request source.
