PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate, by constructing a database of attribute information using a general-purpose spreadsheet program, updating and retrieving of attribute information of an object on a map. SOLUTION: A device for managing attribute information of an object on a map comprises: a first means to read a map information file; a second means to display map information in the map information file; a third means to create a figure object including the area where the object as an attribute managing object exists on the displayed map; a fourth means to receive, from an input means, data configuration of the attribute information of the created figure object and to construct a database of attribute information composed of the data configuration on a data sheet provided by the spreadsheet program; a fifth means to store the inputted attribute information in the database; and a sixth means to receive an operation for designating the correspondence between the attribute information stored in the database and the figure object, and to write information indicating the correspondence between the attribute information and the figure object in the figure object.
