PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a period for cleaning a cartridge in manufacturing a microarray. SOLUTION: A method for cleaning a cartridge used for spitting a droplet is provided, which is mounted on a microarray manufacturing apparatus dropping a biomolecular solution and manufacturing the microarray. The method for cleaning the cartridge used for spitting the droplet comprises; a first step of arranging a cap (10) which has an inlet, an outlet and one plane being opened, such that the opened plane is in close contact with a liquid spitting plane of the cartridge (50); a second step of injecting a cleaning liquid from the inlet (11) of the cap, bringing the cleaning liquid to intrude into the cartridge through the liquid spitting plane of the cartridge, sucking the intrusion cleaning liquid from the outlet (13) of the cap and discharging it; and a third step of injecting a gas through the inlet (12) of the cap and bringing the gas to intrude into the cartridge through the liquid spitting plane of the cartridge.
