PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily, highly sensitively, and highly reliably determining the concentration of metal elements in solid polymers containing ultratrace metal elements especially of 10 ppb or less in the solid polymers. SOLUTION: In the method for analyzing the concentration of metal elements in solid polymers, an organic solvent which infinitely mixes with water is distilled without boiling and purified to acquire an organic solvent. After a solid polymer is dissolved in it to acquire a polymer solution, the solution is directly introduced to an inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscope (ICP-MS). COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
