PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treating apparatus capable of performing heat treatment of higher quality by obtaining higher cooling speed, and to provide a method of manufacturing heat treated parts. SOLUTION: This heat treating apparatus 1 has a heating means 6 for heating a heat treated object W; a cooling tank 2c containing a cooling liquid 4 for cooling the treated object heated by the heating means; a pressure chamber 2 storing at least the cooling tank; a pressurizing means 12 for pressurizing the inside of the pressure chamber; and a put-in means 10 for putting the treated object heated by the heating means, into the cooling tank stored in the pressure chamber pressurized by the pressurizing means.
