PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply separating and removing the furnace body of blast furnace in a short period of time. SOLUTION: In the method for removing the furnace body of the blast furnace, the main body 13 of the blast furnace at the upper part in a range intended to be removed is separated and a foundation concrete or a base grout 11 at the lower part in a range intended to be removed is cut off with a wire saw, spherical particles 62 are filled up into the cut-off gap developed with cutting-off of the wire saw, and the furnace body of the blast furnace intended to be removed is horizontally moved by giving horizontal force without lifting up the furnace body.
