PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pan cleaning device for an escalator for more reliably removing dust deposit accumulated on an oil pan of the escalator. SOLUTION: The oil pan cleaning device comprises guide rails 12a, 12b provided so as to extend at both ends in cross direction along the surface of the oil pan and mounted thereon with their sectionally U-shaped opening portions opposed to each other, and a cleaner 5 guided at both ends by the guide rails when sliding on the surface of the oil pan 4 with the traction of the ropes 3a, 3b.
