PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured vertical bag making/filling machine for producing a packaging bag having a neatly folded angled bottom and a flat top. SOLUTION: A packaging tube f is formed into an angled tube by an angled tube forming part 2a provided at the bottom of a bag making tube 2. A vertically moving mechanism is provided for setting a space between the forming part 2a and a lateral sealer 11 wide in sealing a top seal part and narrow in sealing a bottom seal part. The lateral sealer 11 forms the angled bottom of an angled tube packaging material and seals the bottom seal part working together with a gusset folding mechanism having a gusset nail 13 and a perpendicular folding guide 14. In a condition where the forming part 2a is parted from the sealer 11 by the vertically moving mechanism, the top of the packaging tube f is held flat to be sealed by the lateral sealer 11 and be formed with the top seal part.
