PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device capable of preventing lubricating oil existing in a gap between an inner surface of an oil retaining bearing member and a rotation shaft from leaking out. SOLUTION: The bearing device 1 is equipped with an oil retaining bearing (a step bearing 3) and a bearing holder 2 and has a first groove (a step groove 20) in a shaft direction formed in an inner peripheral surface of the oil retaining bearing. In the bearing device 1, a second groove (an air discharging groove 30) in the shaft direction is formed in at least one of an outer peripheral surface of the oil retaining bearing and an inner peripheral surface of the bearing holder 2.
