The invention relates to a pyrotechnic device ( 10 ) comprising an ignition delay between a fuse or igniter and a device to be ignited, consisting of: a first element ( 18 ) which defines a first space ( 18 ) that houses at least one fuse or igniter; and a second element ( 12 ) which communicates with a second space ( 20 ) via an opening ( 22 ), said second space housing the device to be ignited. Moreover, the inventive device comprises a track ( 24 ) containing an evenly burning flammable material, which is disposed at the level of the surface of the first and/or second element ( 16 ) and which is in permanent contact with the first space by means of a connecting portion ( 22 ) of the first space and with the second space by means of an opening. The above-mentioned first element can slide in relation to the second element and/or vice versa such as to alter the length of the track between the connecting portion and the opening, in order to modify the duration of the ignition delay.
