The actuator (24) has a housing with an upper portion, a lower portion for fitting on a container, and a narrow waist portion between the upper and lower portions. The housing is configured so that a user can wrap his/her thumb and forefinger around the waist portion. A part of housing upper portion extends outward beyond the portion of user`s thumb and forefinger. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a sprayer with a sprayer actuator (B) a method of making a sprayer actuator.
