The mesh fencing has mesh panels (3,4) fixable on fence posts (1) which are first anchored in the ground and then fitted at their upper end with a cap with two spaced collar arms so that the uppermost mesh panel can hang by its horizontal rod which is close to the edge on the collar arms and the vertical rod (5) of the panel or two close adjoining vertical rods of two adjacent panels pass through the gap between the collar arms. A spacer with two pairs of spaced collar arms can be fitted at the abutment point between two superposed panels. The collar arms have hooked projections at their free ends to be adjoined by the edge contour of the suspended horizontal rod. The cap, collar arms and/or spacer can be moulded in one piece from plastics.
