<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for fingerprint matching without connecting an external power source to a fingerprint collation apparatus USB-connected to a personal computer. <P>SOLUTION: In the fingerprint matching apparatus 1 USB-connected to the personal computer 2, a charging capacitor 14 is connected to a power supply line 4b for supplying power from the personal computer 2 to the fingerprint matching apparatus 1 to charge the charging capacitor 14 with excess power which is not used for any of a card reader part 7 and a fingerprint matching part 6 in supplying power from the personal computer 2 to the fingerprint matching apparatus 1. The constitution makes it unnecessary to additionally connect a power supply connector or an AC adaptor for simultaneously driving the fingerprint matching part 6 and the card reader part 7 and the excellent fingerprint matching apparatus 1 capable of holding the convenience of USB can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
