EVOLUTIONARY OPTIMIZATION METHOD AND FREE FORM DEFORMATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for optimizing a design. SOLUTION: A method for optimizing the design is changed by a transformation function. Free form deformation is used in which the transformation function is defined by a spline function. The spline function transforms a space in which the design is defined into a second space in which a new changed design is defined. Parameters of the spline function determine parameters of the transformation function during design processing. The free form deformation is used as representation of evolutionary computation.
