PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of sufficiently beating off dust stuck to a dust sticking body. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is provided with a dust collecting chamber 12 for collecting dust, an electric blower making the dust collecting chamber 12 into a negative pressure, and a beating device 30 installed facing the dust collecting chamber and beating the dust sticking body stuck with the dust using a pressure difference between the decrease of the negative pressure in the dust collecting chamber 12 caused by the stop operation of the electric blower and atmospheric pressure, when the driving of the electric blower is stopped.
