PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kitchen which can maintain the beauties in a room with the inside of a sink or the like shielded from the visual range by a table section when the kitchen is not used and the table section can be effectively used in a natural posture when the kitchen is used. SOLUTION: The kitchen is equipped with a main body section of the kitchen (1) having the sink (11), the table section (2) which can be switched between a disuse position wherein a top board (21a) practically covers the main body section of the kitchen and a working position wherein the top board is adjacent to the main body section of the kitchen, and a rise and fall unit (16) which makes the main body section of the kitchen rise and fall between two vertical positions.
