<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a seal ring from being separated from an opening/closing valve element even if a fluid flows at high speed around the seal ring in an opening/closing valve of a pipe joint. <P>SOLUTION: In this joint member in a pipe joint, when the opening/closing valve 26 is in a closed position, the seal ring 50 is pressed and hermetically engaged with an annular valve seat face 34, and a front annular valve face part 52 and a rear annular valve face part 54 of the seal ring have a front annular passage limit 56 and a rear annular passage limit 58 put in an abutting or close state to the annular valve seat face. When the opening/closing valve starts moving from the closed position toward an open position (Figure 7), the annular passage limit 56 and the rear annular part 58 are displaced while maintaining the abutting or close state to the annular valve seat face 34 until the seal ring 50 is separated by a predetermined distance from the annular valve seat face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
