<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing a toner cartridge from being accidentally detached from a developing unit when the developing device is detached from the main body of the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device G has a developer container attaching/detaching means 14 by which a developer container 2 can be attached to or detached from the developing unit 1.
