<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing dirt from appearing on an output image even when the dirt is stuck to either one of contact glass and an original platen. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with the original platen 115 on which a prescribed pattern is printed, an original reading part 10 for acquiring an original image by scanning an original set on the contact glass 127, an area detection part 21 for detecting a pattern included in the original image acquired by the original reading part 10, and an output image generation part 24 for removing an image of the pattern detected by the area detection part 21 from the original image to generate an output image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
