PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester polyol capable of giving a polyuretahne foam having a low density, having a good outward appearance, and excellent in mechanical strength, such as tensile strength, tear strength, and elongation at break, and to provide a method for producing the polyurethane foam using the same. SOLUTION: This polyester polyol is given by subjecting (A) an acid component containing succinic acid and sebacic acid and (B) a polyhydric alcohol to condensation polymerization and has a viscosity at 40°C of≤10,000 mPa×s. The method for producing the polyurethane foam comprises together reacting a polyisocyanate component and a polyol component containing the polyester polyol and making the components foam.
