PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of restraining backlash from being generated with time. SOLUTION: A part to be pressed 16 is arranged on a male housing 10. An assembly A holding a compression spring S arranged between a pressing member 60 and a push-in member 50 is mounted on a female housing 20, and a pressing part 57 capable of pressing the part to be pressed 16 is arranged on the push-in member 50. A second projected part 19 is arranged at an inner peripheral face of a hood part 11 against a first projected part 41 arranged at outer peripheral face of a terminal housing part 21. After fitting in, when the pressing member 60 is pushed in, the pressing part 57 presses the part to be pressed 16, and the male housing 10 is pushed toward the female housing 20 relatively in a fitting-in direction, and the first projected part 41 is brought into surface-contact with a slanted face 18a of the hood part 11, and the second projected part 19 is brought into surface-contact with a slanted face 28e of a front retainer 28 facing the second projected part.
