PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve a similar file which is more useful for a user. SOLUTION: The file retrieval method comprises: a display file acquisition step for acquiring a display file displayed at a display device; a similarity score calculation step for calculating similarity scores showing similarity between each browsed file and the display file by referring to a history storing part; an experience score calculation step for calculating experience scores showing the strength of the experience of a user for each of the browsed file when browsing the file in the past by referring to the history storing part; an integrated score calculation step for calculating integrated scores by using the similarity scores and experience scores calculated for each browsed file; and an output step for outputting the respective integrated scores and the information of the browsed file stored in the history storing part corresponding to the integrated scores to a display device.
