PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a bit error rate small and to reduce computational quantity. SOLUTION: A bit estimated value of a 1st data stream is found from a signal y<SB>0</SB>received by a 1st antenna, a bit estimated value of the 1st data stream is found from a signal y<SB>1</SB>received by a 2nd antenna, and those are composed to find a composite estimated valueΔlnP<SB>0</SB>(I). Further, a bit estimated value of a 2nd data stream is found from the signal received by the 1st antenna, a bit estimated value of the 2nd data stream is found from the signal received by the 2nd antenna, and those bit estimated values are composed to find a composite estimated valueΔlnP<SB>1</SB>(I). Then the bit estimated value of the 1st data stream is scrutinized with the composite estimated value of the 2nd data stream and bits "0" and "1" of the 1st data stream are judged based on the composite estimated value of the 1st data stream.
